History

I have a long-standing interest in history and studied the subject at the University of Glamorgan (now University of South Wales). These days, my interest is often in the understanding the depth and variety of history in a specific place, whether that be a hometown or a holiday destination. I served as a trustee and Chair of Newport Civic Society 2013-2017. Over recent years, my interest has broadened to include historical art and architecture.
