Policy and public affairs

I am a public affairs and policy professional with over 14 years of experience across in-house and agency roles, currently serving as Policy and Public Affairs Manager at the Royal College of General Practitioners Cymru Wales.

At RCGP, I act as the College's primary point of contact with Welsh Government and build political relationships across all parties in the Senedd. I authored the RCGP 2026 Senedd election manifesto, which includes calls on active travel, healthy environments and the use of town planning to improve health outcomes, and led the College's policy and communications response throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. I have also coordinated events on wider policy themes, including an online event examining the public health implications of English city region devolution in a comparative devolved nations context.

I founded and chair the Covid Committee Observation Group, a constructive critical friend to the Wales Covid-19 Special Purposes Committee, and co-chair a cross-sector health inequalities group with representation from health, social care and housing organisations across Wales. I also chair the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges Policy and Public Affairs Group.

Before joining RCGP, I spent eight years at Meeting Place Communications, rising to Associate Director. I led public affairs campaigns for major housing, regeneration and energy projects across England and Wales, including securing unanimous consent for the St Breock wind farm, gaining consent for the tallest building in Ealing, and hosting a parliamentary event at the House of Commons to build support for a university development proposal.

I have provided comment to BBC Wales, BBC Radio Wales, ITV Wales, the Financial Times, the Western Mail and a range of other outlets on topics including health policy, energy, planning and election analysis.

I hold an MSc in International Relations from Cardiff University and have completed the RCGP Redkite Leadership Management Development Programme.
